About OSF
Oceania Shipping Forum was originally started back in 2006. After a few false starts and problems with various operating systems, settled into it's new (and permanent) home in late 2007.
We are the only online discussion forum dedicated to ships and shipping in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands regions.
As a Guest, you are only able to view what we have to offer, but as a member you gain full access to all of these plus additional forums, the ability to reply to existing posts and to post your own messages and photos.
The site now has over 600 members from all around the world with in excess of 25,000 posts and is steadily growing.
The site is operated on a not-for-profit basis with all finance provided for by the Forum Administrator. There are no commerical ties or political alliances.
So how does it work?
In order to participate in discussions and take advantage of all that the Forum has to offer, members first need to register. This is free and it's easy - just click on the Register link above and join us today! All we ask is that new members provide a genuine e-mail address* which needs to be approved by one of the Forum Administrators before you will be able to take full part in the Forum. Your details will not be passed on to any other organisation or agency, and you will only receive e-mails that you elect to receive from the forum system. Members also need to agree to the forum rules and guidelines.
Once your registration has been accepted (you will receive an email when this is done), you simply click on the topic that you wish to read, and then simply click 'Post Reply' to add your comments to that discussion. If you wish to start a new topic, simply click 'New Thread' in the relevant forum, and follow the instructions on screen.
Don't forget to take the time to fill in your member profile and tell us a little about yourself.
*Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail and AOL email addresses are not accepted due to their high use by spammers.

Who are the the Forum Leaders?
The Forum Leaders are members of the forum community who assist in running the site. They have the ability to edit/close/delete posts that don't follow the forum rules & guidelines. They also assist in dealing with member queries and technical support issues. Forum Administrators are identified with their Usernames appearing in red (flyer682, Gary) while Super Moderators (Dierk B) have theirs in green.
